What Organic Gardeners Do

1 Follow Nature's Cycle

In the organic cycle, the compost feeds the soil, the soil feeds the plants, and the plants feed the people. Organic gardeners use kitchen and garden waste to recycle into compost to create a rich soil alive with microorganisms. We fill raised beds, pots, and containers with our favorite foods by choosing local organic seeds, which we save and share at each meeting.

2 Improve our Health

By replacing processed food with super food from the garden, organic gardeners can turn the tide on the alarming rise in diabetes, obesity, and life threatening food allergies. We get healthy exercise and morale boosts in the fresh garden air and rich soil and eat delicious produce picked fresh where we live at the peak of nutritional value.

3 Create a better Environment

Organic gardening improves the air, water, and soil in our community. By choosing native species of plants to ward off pests and attract pollinators, birds, bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects, organic gardeners care for the Earth and its indigenous creatures in a synergistic system, where every living entity has a place in the wheel of life. By planting close and using mulch to conserve water and prevent weeds, by using compost to enrich the soil, and by rotating crops to balance the nitrogen in the soil, we create beautiful, cost effective, and abundant organic gardens of fruits, herbs, and veggies.

Testimonials

I grew up going to my Uncle's farm every weekend. Due to 400+ acres of corn to plant and harvest, there wasn't much time...

Our Mission

The objective of this club is to promote organic gardening practices through education and community outreach, to grow our plants in a non-toxic, chemically-free manner using natural predators and organic pest sprays to control pests, earthworms to aerate the soil, and compost to enrich the soil to produce the freshest, best tasting, bursting with life fruits, herbs, flowers, and veggies.

Everyday is a learning adventure in the garden. Now is the best time to plant for the future.
