Propeller Plant

One of the many reasons I love being a member of the Organic Garden Club is the many plants you get to share with each other.   I have plants all over my garden from members, and I look at them and remember their benefactors.  Here is a lovely succulent propeller plant, Crassula perfoliata var. falcate, which displays glorious scarlet red composite flowers with gold centers in  late August.  It has bluish, gray green leaves which grow horizontally and upwards as if it were ready to take flight.  I remember the friendly face and engaging plant conversations with our dearly departed past board member, Jon Anderson, who generously gave out cuttings one night at our club meeting.  From that small cutting I now have several plants which put on quite a display.   A garden is a friend you can visit anytime~
