I grew up going to my Uncle's farm every weekend. Due to 400+ acres of corn to plant and harvest, there wasn't much time to "teach" gardening to me, but I sure learned how to weed their 1-acre vegetable garden. 🙂 It was this constant exposure to gardening, farming, animals, and nature that stayed with me all my life. I joined Las Flores Community Garden in Thousand Oaks 8 years ago. I have two 10'x20' plots; one for veggies and one as a habitat for butterflies, birds, and bees. Gardening is my passion, and my plots are my santuary.
